![]() | Dr. Simone received his undergraduate degree with honors in chemistry and biology from Indiana State University. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1983. He completed an internship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and an anesthesiology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1987, he joined the faculty of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He practiced anesthesiology at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital until 1994 at which time he entered full time private practice in Pain Medicine. In 1996, he advanced his post graduate training and enrolled in the pain management fellowship program at West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, West Virginia. Upon completion in 1997, he remained as faculty at the West Virginia School of Medicine. There he was engaged in the full time practice of Pain Medicine at the West Virginia University Hospital Center for Pain Management. He was responsible for both direct patient care and the training of pain fellows. He joined The Physicians' Pain & Rehabilitation Specialists of Georgia, P.C. as a pain management specialists in September of 1998. Dr Simone is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology with Subspecialty Certification in pain management and the American Academy of Pain Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the American Medical Association and numerous other professional organizations. Dr Simone is married and has two children. He enjoys golf, running, all sports and time with his family. | ||
