There has been a fungal meningitis outbreak in five states in recent days. This is due to a fungus that contaminated medication used in various spinal injections. The contaminated medication has been traced back to a compounding pharmacy in Massachusetts, which has since temporarily ceased compounding medications until the contamination can be cleared. There is a specific Lot number from this pharmacy that has been deemed to be unsafe.

The Physicians' Spine and Rehabilitation Specialists of Georgia currently does not, nor have we ever received or bought medication from this particular pharmacy in Massachusetts. All of our medications come from Cardinal Pharmaceuticals, which orders directly from Pfizer.
